Unit 7 What's the custom?

Find an interesting custom in other countries and post it.

Example) "Wear an Arab Scarf"
More commonly known as a keffiyah or shemagh, the Arab scarf is a square cloth made of a breathable fabric, which is wrapped around the head. Men wear keffiyahs to block the sand and dust from blowing up into their eyes as they are traveling or taking care of regular chores. Women of Muslim faith or Arab descent have been known to wear their scarves, otherwise known as hijab, in more abundant ways. The hijab is worn to completely cover their heads so that no hair is shown, and nothing but their hands and feet may be displayed in public. Though it is custom for women to cover thier faces, leaving only their eyes open to the public in Saudi Arabia, some have been seen covering even that from public view.

  3. Restaurant in Korea, the side dishes are free. There's lots of side dishes before we having main dish. Some foreigners who came to Korea for the first time, are very nervous about the price and never believe it's free.
And most of foreigners are shocked to use a scissors to cut meat or something(like Kimchi?) in the kitchen or restaurant.

From time to time the disc is replaced by a similar, but by a larger diameter. And then the wedding? The fact is though the larger diameter of the disc, the more bride’s dowry, because it symbolizes the drive level of wealth of the bride’s family
